Simple Installation

Setting up your window box reservoir is quick and easy:

 1. Begin with a layer of small pebbles at the bottom of your window box to aid drainage, especially during rainy weather.
 2. For boxes with drainage holes, place a piece of filter fabric on the bottom to prevent soil from washing through.
 3. Position the reservoir on top of the gravel base and insert the fill tube.  Don’t worry—a reservoir doesn’t have to span the full box length. Our specially engineered design efficiently waters the soil within a 6–8" radius, keeping nearby plant roots hydrated and thriving.
 4. Add high-quality potting soil, keeping the fill tube visible above the soil line.
 5. Plant your flowers and initially top-water to help roots establish.
 6. Fill the reservoir through the tube—once roots grow deep enough, they’ll naturally draw water as needed.

Effortless Plant Care

Once your plants are established, the reservoir allows them to self-regulate their water intake—minimizing overwatering, underwatering, and the stress of daily upkeep. Simply refill the reservoir every 1–2 weeks (more frequently in hot weather), and let your garden flourish with less effort.
